Monica Rose Corsini, 24, born in August 1987 passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 3, 2012.  She is the daughter of Greg and Maria Kress Wilson and Joseph and Toni Corsini.  She is the granddaughter of Carolyn and Gary Thomson of American Falls, Gale & Dennis Corsini of Sandpoint and Stan Kress of Garden Valley Idaho.

She was born in Moscow ID while her parents were students at the University of Idaho.  She spent her first years in American Falls.  Since 1993 when Maria married Greg she has lived in Pocatello except when she attended the U of I.  She was currently at ISU finishing her degree in History and French.  She was working as a research assistant to her inspirational professor, Dr. Stephanie Christelow.

In May, when her school is finished, Monica and her best friend, Christina Nelson of Boise, had plans to fly to France, travel throughout Europe and visit her father and brothers in Germany.

Monica camped, skied, climbed rocks, white water river rafted, hiked, and lived a full life.    She knitted and made up her own patterns to perfection.  She enjoyed family games, loved her dog and made all of us happy.

She is survived by her parents and grandparents, a step sister Amy, step brother Eric, three half-brothers in Germany, Nicolas, Aaron, and Daniel Corsini. She is also survived by her Corsini and Kress aunts and uncles and her two sister cousins, Jordyn Tanner and Whitney Kress and all the other cousins who were part of her life.

Monica preferred theme parties and so everyone is invited to wear something knit, on your head, around your neck or in your pocket to her memorial service held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Snowflake in American Falls, Idaho, on Friday the 9th of March at 1pm.  A viewing will be held on Thursday March 8th at the church from 6 to 8 and one hour prior to the service on Friday.

I have known Monica for about 8 yrs. Everytime I saw her she was smiling. That girl could make me laugh like no one else. Always greeting me with a hug. She was lively, unique, talented, so intelligent and a free spirt. I will always have a place for her in my heart.

I am so sad for the family and friends of this wonderful girl. Taken way too soon, Monica was an angel of the light. I met Monica briefly, as she an my son had become friends on a chance meeting downtown Boise. He loved her immediately and when I met her, it was obvious as to why. She will be missed terribly by so many. Rest in peace sweet angel.. rest in peace. May the memories of your beautiful daughter, comfort you in these dark days. Climb mountains for her.. and learn to knit. :)
all my love and heartfelt prayers to you all.

The grief of losing a child is so overwhelming. May your memories of such a lovely young lady soothe the hurt, and may you receive comfort in the promise of seeing Monica again (John 5:28, 29 and Revelation 21:4). Although friends can do only a little to bring comfort, God will soothe your heart and dry your tears (Isaiah 25:8). My deepest condolences.

There aren't words to express my sorry at the passing of Monica, or my sympathy for her family. She was an extraordinary young woman whom I will always miss and whose lost future I will always regret.

I'm very sorry for the family's loss. Monica was a terrific student, enthusiastic and very intelligent. We had several history classes at ISU together. She was always well prepared and inspirational to other students to learn more about any subject that was discussed. She was focused and very driven as if she could've been anything she wanted to be.

I met Monica several times as a small child. She was a sweet girl. The loss of anyone is hard but the loss of a child is devastating. My heart hurts for her family and friends. Hold her memories dear and talk of her often. She is in your heart and so always with you.

Maria, I am so sorry for your loss. You and your entire family are in my prayers. When I think about Monica, I remember and cherish the wonderful times she and I spent together. I can just picture her sitting on my lap learning to sing the childrens songs and her little hands performing the motions to "Here''s a Ball for Baby" and many others. What a joy...such a happy child. My love to you Maria.

I given the chance to work on group projects with Monica in a couple of different history classes. It always amazed me just how much she knew, especially since her knowledge went beyond what that class required us to know. I remember not to long into this semester laughing with her because she came to class with a black eye that she'd gotten from playing with her poodle. She is a smart, intelligent girl with a wonderful personality and she will be missed.

I worked with Monica when she was a custodian for ISU. She was a lively and wonderful person. She always seemed happy. I am so sorry for you loss. She was too young to be taken from this world.

Oh, Maria, I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds like she filled your life with all of it's goodness. May those memories carry you. I wish I had known. I would have been there. I just talked to my sister in Las Vegas and she told me. I guess Pedrom really struggled with her loss. Please know that I love you and pray that the Holy Ghost will most certainly give you comfort. I am a student at Idaho State University around the same age as Monica, but I have not had the honor to meet her. Despite not knowing her, I feel deeply saddened in knowing that she is no longer with us. I cannot find words to describe my personal sadness. I would like to express my most sincere condolences to her family and to her friends.

Maria, so sorry and Love to you.
Much sadness but also good memories of Monica's bounding exuberance as a child. Sadness seeing her smile just now, and then returning to joy as I remember my first sitting of her in Moscow when you and Joe wanted to have a date, I airplanned her for hours around that apartment. She is dear and I think of her often....
Tony
