Barbara Lee Valdez

Babara Valdez was born to Boyd & Betty Jean (Ward) Van Horn on May 3, 1951 in Malad City, Idaho and passed away at home on June 14, 2016 with her granddaughter Christina (EAGLE) Todd, niece Elizabeth and her sister Diana Hernandez at her side after her courageous battle with cancer.  Barbara is survived by her children and spouses Chancy (Van Horn) Ward and Jeff (Burr) Garetson, Christopher (Chris) Van Horn and Charlette (Charlie) Van Horn, grandson Johnathon Ward, sister Diana Hernandez and several nieces & nephews. Step-children Cruz John Valdez Jr., Natalie & Joe Bravo, Esther & Ted Eidemiller, Nita & Jody Kunz, 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by The Love of Her Life John, both her
mother and father,her brother Gary Van Horn and granddaughters Tamarra & Xochilt.  She is a beloved
wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Barb enjoyed camping, fishing, reading, crocheting, card and board games. Barb has an unconditional love for her dogs and is join in Heaven with 4 and will be dearly missed by Dakota. She worked for several years at Lamb Weston, 2 yrs with King’s and currently was employed by Convergys.  Viewing 6-8pm, Friday, June 17, 2016 at Davis-Rose Mortuary, 170 Idaho St. in American Falls, ID. Graveside Services will be held Saturday June 18, 2016 at 3pm at Falls View Cemetery, American Falls, ID. Condolences, photos and memories may be shared at www.davisrosemortuary.com  In lieu of flowers Barb would want donations made to any Cancer Center.  Barb will be missed and loved bunches and bunches!
