Bertha "Lucille" Palmer 96, of Aberdeen, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025, at her home, peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Lucille was born May 26th, 1928, to the late Del & Hazel Parsons, and was raised in Sterling, Idaho, with many happy childhood memories.
Lucille married her high school sweetheart, Ferrell Wayne Palmer, November 25th of 1945. Together they started to build their family. Lucille and Ferrell had seven children together and later suffered the loss of two young boys Gary and Kenneth Palmer.
The Lucille and Ferrell Palmer family were later sealed in the temple in 1980. Lucille and Ferrell enjoyed 59 years together before her husband’s passing on September 1st of 2005.
Lucille and Ferrell lived on a farm south of Aberdeen, where they made their home together and started farming. Farming continued after Ferrell’s passing when the oldest son Terrell took over. Lucille enjoyed life and was always happy. She enjoyed cooking and baking and specially making sure that every Christmas was nothing short of magical. Lucille loved her grandchildren and had many in tow because grandmas and grandpas house was so fun.
Lucille is survived by her children Sherry Schritter, Terrell Palmer, Trent (Janille) Palmer, Russell (Lora Alair) Palmer, all of Aberdeen, and Carolene (Monty) Funk of American Falls.
Lucille parents, husband Ferrell and two sons Gary and Kenneth Palmer and her sister Rosie Mayer, preceded her in death.
A Viewing will be open to all who would like to attend and pay respects on Thursday, May 15th from 6-7:30 at Davis-Rose Mortuary, 170 Idaho St., American Falls, ID. A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday May 16th at Monty and Carolene Funks residence, 2964 Cedar Ln., American Falls. The funeral will follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Aberdeen Cemetery.
