Bobbie Anderson

Apr 4, 1935 — Jun 5, 2026

Aberdeen

Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Bobbie Darlene Turpin Anderson, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026, at their home with her loving husband Morgan and other family members by her side. She was born April 4, 1935, in Blackfoot ID, to Nathan VanBuren Turpin and Clara Cecelia “Sis” Roy Turpin. She married A. Morgan Anderson on October 20, 1951, in Aberdeen. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple on April 16, 1965. Together they built a legacy of love, faith and family.

Bobbie’s greatest joy was her family. She had a natural talent for making each person feel very seen and loved. She also loved serving in her community. She taught many classes of 4H, served in Women’s Club and especially loved driving school bus for 29 years! She loved those children and took pride in always being right on time. Bobbie also loved serving in her church. She served in Primary, giving kids gold star stickers for being so good. She served as a Relief Society President and loved the women in her ward. She served as a Young Women’s president twice and as a stake, Young Women’s president. She loved the youth and truly enjoyed attending girl’s camp with them. She also enjoyed coaching them in softball. Bobbie enjoyed collecting skunk figurines when she was younger and busses and thimbles throughout her life. She crocheted and knitted countless hot pads, washcloths, slippers, booties, and knit blessing dresses for her great-granddaughters. One of her favorite past times was attending sporting events, plays, dance recitals, and concerts of her kids and grandkids. As her eyesight diminished she would encourage Morgan to watch and tell her all about it afterwards

Bobbie cherished her husband and family. She loved camping with the family and fishing with Dad. She held a Christmas Family Home Evening for all of her family that quickly became an annual tradition. She loved having tea parties with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. We have often been told that “Bobbie makes the best potato salad”! We have to agree! Bobbie would often be recorded as saying "oh, don't leave yet" she was simply her happiest when family was around. It was hard for her as she couldn't see and hear very well, but she tried to stay happy and positive. She  tried to stay as active as she could. Her smile was contagious and beautiful! She lived with integrity and always showed love and kindness to all.

Bobbie is survived by her loving husband of 74 1/2 years Morgan Anderson. Her children: Clair (Teresa), Tallapoosa, GA, Tena (Brock) Driscoll, Aberdeen, ID, Layton (Lisa) Fruitland, ID, Nathan (Kristin) Lindon, UT, Misty (Dwight) Wallace, Aberdeen, ID: foster daughter Mary (Don) Pine, Fort Yates, ND; 27 grandchildren; 89 great grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Including her loving in-laws, her posterity numbers 171! She was proceeded in death by her parents, her dear sisters, Bodell Patterson, Jackie McFadden, her little brother DeeVan Turpin, and a granddaughter Natalie Driscoll.

We want to thank Symbii Home Health and Hospice for the excellent care they have given to our sweet mom.  Especially nurse Lynell and Dr. Connover.  Lynell’s sensitivity and caring nature made all the difference
