Calvin Ray Dyer died on August 20, 2025, at the Portneuf Medical Center from complications of pneumonia. He was 83 years old at the time of his death.

He celebrated paying off the loan even with some years of failed crops.

He is survived by his son Ken Dyer, his wife Harriet Dyer, his niece Jean Spicer and grand nephews Jason, Ethen and Alan and grand niece Kathrine.
