Cecil Weisenburger

Cecil Albert Weisenburger, our loving and devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, husband, brother, uncle, and friend passed Sat. Oct 6th 2012.   Cecil was born on Oct 4,1932 in Tuttle, North Dakota to Carrie and William Weisenburger.  Dad had 4 siblings, Roy, Gladys, Marvin, and Darlene, all preceded him in death. Dad married his high school sweetheart Georgia JoAnn Thomas on Jan 17, 1952 in Pocatello, Idaho.  They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on Jan. 19, 1963.  JoAnn preceded him in death July 27, 2007. Our dad was an avid classic car enthusiast....owned many classic cars and has rebuilt several.  He enjoyed taking trips every January to Arizona to the car show. Dad was a successful farmer and knew hard work. He loved watching his crops grow and being able to harvest and see the fruits of his labor. He was well known in the community of American Falls; he served as Mayor and was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving in many positions.  He was a great scout master and had many boys earn their Eagle Scout award under his direction.

He and JoAnn raised 7 children.....Steve (MaryLou French), George, Guy (Wendy Lecheminant), Mark (Karla Bennett), Howard(Marnae Lowder), CeAnn (Joel Whitehead), and Kim.  He has 25 grandchildren that he loved and enjoyed being with them and receiving their phone calls.  He also has 12 great grandchildren that he loved dearly.

The funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 in the LDS 3/4th Ward building in American Falls, Idaho.  There will be a viewing from 9:00-10:45 at the church prior to funeral services. Interment will be at the Falls View Cemetery, American Falls.

We would like to invite all those who have classic cars to drive them to the service and internment in honor of our father's appreciation for classic cars
