David had cherished hobbies that brought immense pleasure to his days. One such pastime involved spending time at home with his beloved family and their adored dogs, Powder, and Hammer.  Additionally, he was a gun smith, and enjoyed spending time on the shooting range, engaging in this activity with a sense of focus and discipline. He won many awards, and his passion for firearms and shooting were well known by those who knew him.
