Ralph Dennis Ure, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on June 30, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories. Born in Driggs, Idaho, Dennis was the son of Ralph and Goldie Ure (Fullmer). He was raised in the beautiful Teton Valley, where he embraced a life filled with family, activity, and service. Dennis attended Teton High School, where he participated in sports and band. He especially loved basketball and skiing.
Continuing his education, Dennis spent a year at Ricks College before answering the call to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Switzerland. For two and a half years, he dedicated himself to spreading love, faith, and hope to those he encountered. Upon his return from Switzerland, Dennis joined the Army National Guard and began working in Salt Lake City for the church's genealogy program. They sealed their love in marriage in the Idaho Falls Temple, beginning a journey of togetherness that would span nearly six decades.
Dennis was a man of many talents and passions. Throughout his life, he pursued various careers, including coaching and teaching. As a teacher in both education and in church callings, he influenced and touched the lives of many individuals which resulted in lasting relationships. However, his greatest joy came from being a father. He reveled in the gift of parenthood, guiding and nurturing his children with unwavering love and support. His dedication to his family knew no bounds, and he was a constant source of strength and inspiration.
He is survived by his adoring wife, Sheryl Jean Ure, their children: Teri Dawn (Bryce Pratt), Shauna Jean (Brad Poulson), Jeni Lyn (Matthew Niu), Nicole Leigh (Jory Iverson), Rychael Dennis (Amber Brinkerhoff), Tiffani Sheryl Adamson, Diedre Kay (Darren Clark), and Denelle Gwen (Robert Elison). (Nicole Chesnut), Dallin (Alicia Cameron), Camri (T.J. His immense love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life, and his memory will forever live on in their hearts.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Goldie Ure, his brother Deloy Ure, and one grandchild, Carston Dennis Adamson and one great-grandchild, Jessalyn Nicole Chapman. Their absence is deeply felt but serves as a reminder of the eternal bonds of family and the cherished memories they shared.
