Ella Denise Dancliff, a loving wife, mother and friend, passed peacefully from this life into the arms of her loving Father in Heaven on May 22, 2026, in American Falls, Idaho. She was born on August 25, 1943, in American Falls, to John Wallace and Nellie Darcas Warner Palmer.
Denise was raised in the Aberdeen area where she attended school and made lifelong friendships. On July 2, 1959, she married her high school sweetheart, David LeRoy Dancliff. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on March 10, 2005.
Over the years, she worked with Western Farmers, Carter's Department Store, IGA Food Market, D-D Refrigeration and Heating (the family business) and Fairview Estates. In addition to her employment, Denise also helped operate several small businesses, all while raising her four children.
Denise enjoyed the outdoors, working in her garden, camping and spending time with her family. Denise was known for her warm smile, kindness and willingness to help others.
Denise loved serving others and giving her time to her church and community. She served in many callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was active in Gem Trail, Chamber of Commerce and Senior Citizen and Library Boards for many years.
Family meant everything to her. She loved holidays, backyard BBQ’s and simple times spent together. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith and family. ,
She is survived by her children Michelle (Marcus) Junod, Darren Dancliff, Dane (Cathy) Dancliff, and Dustin (Amanda) Dancliff; along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister Jackie Terry and several nieces and nephews.
Denise was preceded in death by her husband, David Dancliff, her parents John and Nellie Palmer, in-laws Don and Mary Dancliff, sisters Donna Welch and Karen King along with their spouses Ellis Welch and Veryl King, brothers Ferrell Palmer and Neldon Palmer and their spouses Lucille and Jean Palmer, brothers-in-law Bill Terry and Donald Dancliff, step-mother Myrtle Scoles Palmer, and step-sister Joan Kramer.
Denise will be remembered for her love of family, strong faith and caring heart. She will be deeply missed.
A visitation was held on May 29, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Aberdeen with the funeral service following at the same location.
A special thank you to those at Power County Skilled Nursing Home, Power County Hospital and Portneuf Medical Center that cared for our loving Mother during her final days.
