Gerardo Hernandez III was born on July 4, 2005, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Gerardo U. Hernandez and Daisy Garcia. As the middle of four children, and the only boy, Gerardo brought immense joy and energy into the family home. He was the oldest of the grandsons on his maternal side.
Growing up, Gerardo attended school in American Falls all 12 years. He graduated in the class of 2023 from American Falls Academy. He was always so friendly, smart, and had a huge heart.
Gerardo will always be remembered for the smile that could brighten any room, his mischievous spirit, his joy, his laughter, his love for loud music, his spicy chips, and his cars. Gerardo lived with a free spirit and a heart full of love. He was a devoted uncle to Ulises and Jimena; and had an immense amount of love for them.
Above all, Gerardo loved his family. He leaves behind his mother, Daisy; his stepfather, Sergio Granados; his sisters, Jennyfer (Brayan), Karime, and Bianney; his nephew, B. Ulises; and his niece, Jimena J., whom he loved so dearly. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Jorge and Alicia Garcia; his paternal grandparents, Gerardo and Matilde Hernandez; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the lasting impact Gerardo had on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His memory will forever remain in our hearts, and he will be deeply missed but never forgotten. We find peace in his passing as he is now reunited with his beloved father whom he deeply missed. We pray that they are together once again in peace and everlasting love.
