Ilene Haskell

Ilene Haskell, age 83, passed away peacefully at home in American Falls on May 8, 2026.

She was born in American Falls to Jay and Helen Ralphs. Ilene grew up in Rockland Idaho on a farm 2 miles out of town with her brothers and sisters; Eldon, Janice, DeeAnn, Robert and Dan. She attended Rockland High School and then LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. Ilene married her high school sweetheart Carl Haskell on August 24, 1962 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They had 4 children; Terri, Darin, Cheryl, and Cindy. Ilene worked at Lamb Weston, First Security Bank, the “Beet Dump”, and retired after 18 years from the American Falls Library. Her hobbies included oil painting, ceramic painting, crafts and gardening. She was a faithful member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Ilene is preceded in death by her parents, 2 siblings, and a great granddaughter. Ilene has 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Carl Haskell, Terri (Kurt) Deters, Darin (Gretchen) Haskell, Cheryl (Ray) Michaelson, and Cindy (Nathan) Anderson. The family would like to thank the Home Health and Hospice for their loving care. We would also thank neighbors and ward members for their kindness and service.

The funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday May 14 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 650 Pocatello Ave. in American Falls. Interment will follow at the Valley View Cemetery in Rockland.
