Marjorie Glascock, 100, returned home to heaven on April 13, 2024, at the Power County Nursing Home. Marjorie was born to Ed and Lillie England on a cold November day in the home of her Aunt Grace in American Falls, Idaho. She grew up in Arbon, Idaho until her parents moved to American Falls. She graduated from American Falls High School as a Salutatorian. Upon graduation, Marge attended the University of Idaho Southern Branch, now known as Idaho State University, where she earned a Certificate in Business.
She returned to American Falls where she worked for a government agency. She met and married Robah Glascock and became a farmwife. Six children were born to this union: Kathy Roy, Douglas (Ellie) Glascock, Kevin (Lil) Glascock and Dwight of American Falls, Pam Bare of Shelley, and Drew (Kristina) Glascock of Twin Falls, Idaho.
After the children were all in school, Marge worked as a Deputy Clerk at the Power County Courthouse. She was elected County Clerk and retired after two terms in office. Marge then became what she called a professional volunteer. The Community Center was her favorite with the Pink Ladies and the Historical Society/Museum being near to her heart. She was the United Methodist Church pianist/organist for almost seventy years.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, six siblings, two sons, and two grandchildren. Surviving her are her four children, eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was proud of her five- generational family.
The family would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff at Power County Nursing Home for their loving care.
A graveside service will be held at Falls View Cemetery on April 18 at 2:00 pm. Marge loved flowers, but she requested that in lieu of flowers you donate to your favorite charity. To share condolences, memories, and photos, please visit DavisRoseMortuary.com.
