If you are reading this, I am no longer in pain and am with my heavenly father. I was called to heaven on December 23, 2022. I was born in Pocatello, Idaho on August 27, 1970 to my two wonderful and caring parents, Herman Queen and Mary Ellen Queen. I attended public schools in American Falls and graduated from American Falls High School in 1989.
I married my high school sweetheart and the love of my life, Timothy Jones, on August 16, 1991. I was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Mahrika (Jones) Martinez and McKenna Jones. Tim and I built two beautiful homes together with the help of our friends and family. Of my many accomplishments, I was a strong, loving, and caring mother and wife who sacrificed so much for the good of my family. I was known for cheering for my daughters at their soccer games and made everyone laugh with my infectious smile. I was a beacon of light to everyone who knew me. My faith in the Lord guided me through all of my trials and tribulations. The Lord gave me so many wonderful moments in my life including traveling the United States with my parents, going on vacations with my family, and going on camping trips with my family and friends.
I am extremely proud of my two daughters who have accomplished so much in their life and will continue to flourish without my presence. I am beyond grateful for my husband who gave me so much laughter and provided me with so many blessings and comforts.
I dedicated 30 years of my life to Portneuf Medical Center, before retiring and lived out the rest of my days with my adorable dogs and family. I had amazing co-workers that helped me smile through all the hard times.
In the last few years of my life, Sandy Ashbaker was a loving friend to me. We enjoyed golfing and crocheting together, as well as gallivanting across the country, laughing about all the little things in life.
I am survived by my husband Tim Jones, my children Mahrika (Jones) Martinez and McKenna Jones, my sister Stephanie Queen, and my parents Herman Queen and Mary Ellen Queen, my two son-in laws Tony Martinez and Nick Loveall, my niece Tatumn Eversole, and my brother-in-law David Glomski.
I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to my family, Sandy Ashbaker, Kadie Richardson, Amy Buscalachi, Leslie Castille, Tim Castille, Pocatello Baptist Church, and all of my supportive friends at Portneuf Medical Center.
There will be a celebration of my life held on Wednesday, December 28. A greeting time for family and friends will be at 6p.m. and a Celebration of Life service will start at 7:00 p.m. at Pocatello Baptist Church located at 190 W Chapel Rd Pocatello, ID. On Thursday, December 29, I plan on meeting all of my loved ones, friends, and family at Davis Rose Mortuary located at 170 Idaho St. in American Falls, ID at 11:00 a.m. in which I will be put in my final resting place in the American Falls Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, I would like those of you willing to make donations to dedicate a memory bench in my honor so that you may visit me. May I remain in the happiest of your memories, and I hope you see reminders of me often, as I will live in all of your hearts.
