Philip Satterfield

Philip Allen Satterfield of Boise passed away on October 17th, 2012 at the Kindred Care Center in Caldwell, Idaho at the age of 67.  Phil was born to Irvin Allen and Isabel Ann Satterfield on February 25th, 1945 in California.  Phil was a graduate of Aberdeen High School in 1963 and attended ISU Vo-Tech College earning a degree in printing.  He did his apprenticeship in Rexburg, Idaho for Porter’s Print Shop.  Phil married Sandi Simmons of Hazleton, Idaho on November 27th, 1969.  They moved to Twin Falls, Idaho and later to Boise and were blessed with two daughters, Jenny and Amber.  Phil and Sandy were later divorced.  While in Boise, Phil managed Northwest Printing and soon after, he owned and operated Saturn Printing on Vista Avenue.  After selling his print shop, he entered into other business ventures including a miniature golf business called Golf Mountain, and later operating the Shamrock Tavern.  Phil loved the outdoors and all sports, especially golf. 

            He was preceded in death by his parents, Isabel (Dolly) and Irvin Satterfield.  He is survived by his children, Jenny (Scott) Martin of Utah and Amber (Noah) Ulam of Middleton; four grandchildren, sister LeeAnn (Chris) Christensen of Rigby, brothers Dean (Cathy) Satterfield of Boise, and Tim (Kathy) Satterfield of Aberdeen, along with several nieces and nephews. 

            Graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2012 at the Falls View Cemetery in American Falls with Father Carlos Camargo Officiating.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.davisrosemortuary.com.
