In Loving Memory of Ramon Garcia
Ramon Garcia, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, was born on September 13, 1934, in Edinburg, Texas. He was knocking on the door of 92, and although he did not quite make it to that milestone, he leaves behind 91 years of a life filled with love, family, hard work, and countless memories that will be cherished forever.Ramon leaves behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and devotion that will be cherished by all who knew him. Ramon is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Maria Ramona Garcia, with whom he shared a beautiful life filled with love, faith, and family.
He is also survived by his children: Miguel Garcia (Suzan), Maria Garcia, Martin Garcia, Minerva Gonzales (Frank), Mario Garcia (Linda), and Marcos Garcia (Debbie); his brother, Jose Garcia; 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride. Ramon moved to Blackfoot, Idaho, in 1958. It was there that he met the love of his life, Ramona. The couple married in 1960 and began building a life and family together. They later moved to American Falls, Idaho, where Ramon spent many years working in the fields alongside friends who eventually became like family. His strong work ethic, generous spirit, and genuine care for others earned him the respect and admiration of everyone around him.
In 1982, Ramon moved his family to Pocatello, Idaho, where he worked at Westwood Mall until his retirement. No matter where life took him, Ramon was never a stranger to anyone he met. He had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome, and his warm smile and kind heart touched countless lives. Family was the center of Ramon’s world. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and extended family. He enjoyed building and creating things with his hands, taking pride in every project he undertook, no matter how big or small. He also loved being outdoors, whether working in the yard or caring for the animals he kept over the years.
Ramon’s life was defined by love, humility, hard work, and generosity. He will be remembered not only for what he built with his hands but also for the relationships he built with his heart. Although he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and forever dear." Ramon’s family finds comfort in knowing that his legacy of love and kindness will continue for generations to come. May he rest in peace.
