American Falls

Randy Wayne Mayer, 76, of American Falls, Idaho passed away on July 30, 2026. A Celebration of life service will be held on Friday August 7, 2026 at Davis-Rose Mortuary 170 Idaho Street, American Falls, Idaho.  A visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Memories will be shared starting at 6:00 PM.

Randy passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle. He graduated from American Falls High School. He later attended college at the University of Idaho and California State University studying veterinary medicine. He spent time working the ranch in Canada with his Uncle Bob.  Most of his career was spent as a well respected Field Consultant for Nutrien, where he spent many hours getting to talk to farmers and doing what he loved.

Randy is best known for being kind, patient, having a great joy for life, always being positive, and never saying an unkind word about anyone.

He loved his time teaching his kids and grandkids everything he knew. He had a wealth of knowledge and loved to share it. He enjoyed making his coffee cakes every Christmas and going on hunting trips with his son-in-law and grandkids.

His favorite times were spent watching his grandkids hunt, play soccer, baseball, rodeo, fish,  and ride dirt bikes. He loved hunting, fishing, and racing cars. Racing brought his family together. He often took his grandkids and taught his granddaughter, Jordan, how to race.  It was always a plus if he won. Some of his last days were spent fishing with his grandsons.

His greatest accomplishment was his family, who he dearly loved. He never missed calling them on their birthdays to sing to them.  He was very proud to be with his granddaughter and grandson when they got their first deer and elk. He was proud of the shop he built with his grandson and how all his grandkids excelled at whatever they put their hearts and minds to.

He had his private pilots license, a love for guns, and John Wayne, but his greatest love was for his wife Judy. He always expressed his love for her and for the life that they built together.

He is survived by the love of his life, Judy Mayer, Krista (Steve) Warth (daughter), Travis (Silvia) Lee (son), Tracy Harmison (son), Kim Harmison (daughter), Cherri Phillips (daughter), Dave (Whitney) Phillips (son), Grandchildren: Jordan (Deven) Henicksman, Austin Warth, Kambryn Warth, Saria McLean, Malak Harmison, Jarak Harmison, TKaya Phillips, Tyvan Phillips, Traxton Phillips, and Taizyn Phillips. Great granddaughters Presley and Kody Henicksman. Siblings Gary Lee and nephew Dusty, Karen Slaugh, Annette Campau, Price Mayer, Farron Mayer, Daryl Mayer, and LaDonna Yarger.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Rose and Art Mayer and Ron and Maxine Lee and his grandson, Kory Harmison.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Brio for their in-home healthcare especially to Joni, Jessica, and Rachel.

We all love you so much Dad. You will be dearly missed by us all.  You’re my hero.

Love you,

Freggy Weggy
