In Loving Memory of Roberta “Bobbie” Lyn Johnson (Robinson)

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, stepmother, and friend, Roberta “Bobbie” Lyn Johnson (Robinson).

To know Bobbie was to know a woman with a beautiful soul. She loved quietly but deeply, always putting others before herself. She was fiercely independent—too shy to ask for help and too stubborn to accept it when offered—and those who loved her cherished her exactly as she was.

Above all, Bobbie loved her family. She was a mother to her three beautiful children, Eva, Brian, and Krista; a stepmother to Dougie, Ashley, and Jerret; and a proud grandmother to Brian Justin, Jasper, Faith, Emberley, Brianna, and Connor. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, and being “Grandma” was one of the greatest blessings of her life.

Bobbie also treasured the lifelong friendships she built along the way. Many of those friends became family, and she held each of them close to her heart. Her kindness, loyalty, and love left lasting bonds that will never be forgotten.

She found peace in nature and loved being outdoors—picking asparagus, planting flowers, tending a garden, and never minding getting her hands dirty. She had a way of helping things bloom, and if you visited her, you likely left with a plant in your hands or at least something she insisted you take home. That simple generosity was so very Bobbie.

She could be stubborn enough to make you smile, laugh, or shake your head, but beneath that was a heart full of kindness, compassion, and unconditional love. She loved with everything she had, and that love will continue to live on in the family and friends she cherished so deeply.

Though her passing leaves an emptiness words cannot describe, we find comfort in knowing she is finally home. We imagine her wrapped in the arms of the love of her life, Alvin Neal, and reunited with her beloved mama, Rosalee Robinson. What a beautiful reunion that must be.

Mom, thank you for your love, your strength, your hugs, your lessons, and even your stubbornness. Thank you for showing us that love does not have to be loud to be immeasurable. Thank you for every plant you sent home with us, every smile you shared, and every moment you gave to the people you loved. We will miss your voice, your smile, and the way you fussed over the simple things in life and your family. We promise to carry your love with us, tell your stories, and make sure your grandchildren always know how deeply you loved them.

You may be gone from our sight, but you will never be gone from our hearts. We love you more than words could ever say, and we will carry you with us until we meet again.

A celebration of Bobbie’s life will be held at a later date. We look forward to gathering with everyone who knew and loved her to honor the incredible woman she was and the love she leaves behind.
