Rose Olson Hawkins died on Wednesday April 12, 2023, under hospice care.  Rose was born on April 3. 1940, to Arntine and Regnald “Ronald” Olson in Twin Falls, Idaho.  She was born into a family of 9 children.  Rose lived in several states because her father was a carpenter and built Army housing.  Rose worked as car hop waitress during High School.  She graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1958.  After graduation she worked a summer in Yellowstone National Park.

She married Joseph Richard Hawkins in 1959.  They moved to American Falls, Idaho after Joe got out to the Army.  They had three daughters: Reba, Beth, and Marit.

Rose is survived by daughters Reba Hawkins Rivera and Beth Hawkins Kratochvil (Patrick); sister Jenny Olson, brother Jim “Pat” Olson (Linda); granddaughters Tasha Hawkins, Brandi Steinshower (Tim), Meeka Albert, Courtney Coble (Adam); grandsons Jahn Rivera, Shawn Kratochvil, Michael Kratochvil, Curtis Kratochvil (Hayley), Jake Steinshower (Jessica); and 9 great-grandchildren.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe Hawkins, daughter Marit Steinshower, sisters Alice Briggs and Susie Standler; bothers John Olson, Pete Olson, Harold Olson, and Raymond Olson.  Rose loved cooking, bowling, crocheting, and outings with friends, She loved watching all her flowers bloom.
