Ruth Lois Echevarria

Ruth passed away March 16, 2015 at the age of 92 years in American Falls, Idaho.  She was born on May 22, 1922 in Aberdeen, Idaho, the daughter of Alma Lester Jackman and Florence Amber Hofhine Jackman.  She married John J. Echevarria April 19, 1939 in American Falls, Idaho.   She was employed as a waitress, a dental assistant for Dr. Amundsen, a teller at First Security Bank and then retired after 20 years at the ASCS office .   Ruth loved her family and spending time with them.  She also enjoyed playing in a bowling league, playing bridge with her friends, camping with family and spending winters in Arizona with her husband.   She is survived by her sister, Vonda Maxwell; brother-in-law, Charles (Joanne) Echevarria;  her three daughters, Jean (Howard) McIntosh, Judy Harveston and Jo Evans; her ten grandchildren, Jan (Alex) Garcia, Mike (Sundee) McIntosh, Lori (Hau) Le, Joni (Brian) Smith, Jenifer(Bentley) Griffith, Terry (Scott Hachmeister) Lebrecht, Brett (Jeanetta) Huse, Brad (Michelle) Huse, Chris (Stephanie) Evans, Nick (Michelle) Evans; 24 great grand children and 6 great great grandchildren.  Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters: Janiel Poulson and Louva Smith, her brother, Lester Jackman, grandson, Tony Evans, sister-in-law, Benita Mehlhaff, son-in-law, Jim Harveston.  Funeral services will be held at the LDS Chapel on Pocatello Ave. in American Falls on Fri Mar 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.  Viewing will be at 10:00 a.m.  prior to the funeral.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Tony Evans Scholarship Fund at American Falls High School would be appreciated.  Memories and condolences may be shared atwww.davirosemortuary.com
