In Loving Memory of Ryan Castillo
October 2, 1992 – August 11, 2026
His family was his greatest joy, and the love he had for his children was evident in the way he worked hard to provide for them.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ryan Castillo, a loving father, devoted partner, beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend, who left this world far too soon.
Ryan attended American Falls High School before graduating from Century High School in 2011.
Ryan was deeply committed to his significant other, Mariela Resendiz, with whom he shared a life and two beautiful children, Leon and Lilaina. His family was his greatest joy, and the love he had for his children was evident in the way he worked hard to provide for them and cherished the time they spent together. He will also be lovingly remembered by his children from previous relationships, Shaun, Jaxon, and Arianna.
Ryan was incredibly smart, hardworking, and determined. He was mechanically inclined and could fix just about anything, often figuring out how to make things work when others couldn't. He enjoyed fishing, going to the gym, listening to music, and spending time with his family. Ryan was also a proud Miami Dolphins fan and enjoyed cheering on his team. He had a love for Godzilla, Marvel, and DC, enjoying the larger-than-life characters, stories, and worlds that brought him so much entertainment.
Those who knew Ryan will never forget his enormous smile that could light up an entire room. He had a quick wit and a gift for comebacks that could leave you laughing, speechless, and wondering, “What just happened?” His humor, intelligence, and unique personality made him unforgettable.
Those who knew Ryan will never forget his enormous smile that could light up an entire room.
Ryan will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his significant other, Mariela Resendiz; his children, Leon, Lilaina, Shaun, Jaxon, and Arianna; his mother, Tesa Gibbs; his siblings, Kylie, Samantha, and Andrew; his grandmother, Betty Castillo; and many extended family members and friends whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Castillo.
Though Ryan's life was far too short, the love he gave, the memories he created, and the family he leaves behind will ensure that his memory lives on. His enormous smile, laughter, quick comebacks, love of music, the Miami Dolphins, Godzilla, Marvel and DC, and his ability to fix nearly anything will be missed more than words can express.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered.
A memorial service will be held at Davis-Rose Mortuary on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations toward funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated as Ryan’s family navigates this difficult time. We are also deeply thankful for any prayers, kind words, and support during this time.
His humor, intelligence, and unique personality made him unforgettable.
