With deep sorrow, our family announces the passing of our beloved mother, Susan Kristin Klassen, who entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on the evening of April 6, surrounded by her loving family. A woman of profound faith, she leaves behind a beautiful and enduring legacy for her children. Susan was born on March 13, 1951 to Robert and Eleanor Brimlow in Altadena, California.
As the oldest of five children, and the only girl among four younger brothers, she was naturally drawn into a life of adventure. She developed a love for the outdoors that included fishing, camping and gardening. She was raised in a Christian home and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior at a young age. Following and serving her Lord was paramount in her life. At the age of 18, she married Wallace Klassen and over the next 14 years she was blessed with six children. She devoted her life to her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker.
She is survived by her 6 children, Doug (Tricia), Lisa (Tim) Sester, Gwen (David) Harman, Marc (Michelle), Brad (Ashley), Rose (Randy) Torres, 17 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, and nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Eleanor Brimlow, husband Wally, brother Mark Brimlow, and grandson Braden (9).
A visitation will be from 10:00 -10:45 a.m. on Friday April 17 at the Aberdeen Performing Arts Center. The Funeral Service will follow, beginning at 10:45 a.m. Graveside services will follow at Homestead Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bible Truth Publishers or American Bible Society.
