Tonja Lee Bowman

Our Beloved Tonja Lee Bowman (Toni), 79, of Meridian, ID, passed away with family by her side June 13, 2021.

Toni was born February 7, 1942 in American Falls, ID to Al and Ellen Beth Larsen and raised in Aberdeen, ID. She was married to Bob Bowman. She and Bob planted roots and raised their children in Soda Springs, ID. They lived in Soda Springs for 42 years and then moved up to Meridian, ID in 2005 to be closer to their kids.

Toni Bowman was a hard worker all of her life. Toni served many at the Cedar View and then served many school children meals at Hooper Elementary. After retirement she went on to volunteer by serving others at the senior center. Toni always had a heart for helping others and was often seen driving many around town to appointments or helping them run errands. Toni and Bob were foster parents for many years, loving and supporting around 85 kids that came through their home as well as giving siblings, nieces, nephews and grandkids weeks of summer fun in Soda Springs.

She is welcomed in Heaven by her husband Bob Bowman, her parents Al and Ellen Beth Larsen, her daughter Kristy Lynn Bowman and her son Sid Bowman. Her sister Sandra Hollingsworth, her brother’s Dallas, Randy, Rick and Kent Larsen and many other friends and family.

She is survived by her daughter Lona (David) Richardson, daughter Trenna (Bill) Garcia, and her son Steely (Leeann) Bowman. Her grandchildren Daniel, Kristy, Cassandra, JR and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Mardyne Kisner, Karla Morris, Di Hill, Jan Pratt, and Tracy Graves.

Graveside services will be held Friday, June 18th at 11am in Aberdeen, ID. At her request she wanted a simple family service, but her family would like to welcome any of her friends who would like to join us in saying goodbye.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.davisrosemortuary.com.
