Trenton Val Rupe 75, passed away with his loving family by his side on 7/17/2023. Trent was born on March 13,1948 in Blackfoot, Idaho to John Rupe and Gladys (Harrington). Trent was the youngest child of thirteen siblings in a combined family.
Trent attended Aberdeen High school after which he joined the Air Force. He was stationed in Loring, Maine and served for 4 years. Upon returning home he met the love of his life, Vernessa Webster. Together they raised 4 children, Dusty Rupe (Nancy), Jared (Bear) Rupe (Yvonne), Heather Hay (Jason), Misty Miller (Micah).
Trent retired from Lamb Weston after over 35 years as a mechanic/machinist. After retirement he and Vernessa opened a family café that served the great town of Rockland. He gained many friends who turned into family. Trent loved anything outdoors from cutting wood for hot fires on a winters night to going fishing with kids and grandkids. Trent loved to go hunting and sneak away from his responsibilities at the café every chance he could get. He loved morning rides with Mel Morris. He loved talking about all the Elk, deer, and Antelope with the morning regulars at the café, which included Perry, Brent and anyone else that would listen.
He is survived by his sister, Donna Adams, Brother- Johnny Boyd Rupe (Jayne), and brother and sister in-laws: Sharon Cox, Steven Andersen, Kenneth Andersen (Donna) and Smily Webster (Sharon). Including several nieces and nephews. His grandchildren which he adored, Tyler Rupe, Hunter Miller, Noah Rupe, Kodie Rupe, Bristol Miller, Dustin Rupe, Ian Hay, Dayson Hay, Sadie Rupe and beloved side kick Molly.
Trent is preceded in death by his parents, mother in-law Martha Andersen, Father in-law Art Andersen, and several siblings. He will be missed as the official Rupe’s Rockland Café greeter. He will be forever missed.
A visitation will be from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. on Sunday July 23, 2023 at Davis-Rose Mortuary in American Falls. The graveside service with military honors will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday July 24, at Valley View Cemetery in Rockland.
